This is an antique, double page, chromolithograph print from a political magazine that was quite popular in its day, PUCK, and very popular among political cartoon collectors today. This series of PUCK cartoons are clever, beautifully illustrated and provide an historical picture of the state of politics and society in 1895. Text : THE RIVAL MAY PARTIES (See pictures for smaller text). Artist : DALRYMPLE, signed in plate. EXCELLENT - Clear, clean, colorful and bright; no foxing, creasing or folds (other than the centerfold), and very good margins, perfect for framing. Nice dark lines and definition.

NOTE: THERE ARE A FEW TEENY PINHOLES AT CENTERFOLD. This print is about 130 years old and guaranteed to be original. It's an authentic old chromolithograph from the aforementioned publication, and not a modern reproduction. The print is 13" x 20 1/2" with nice large margins.
